New Goldfishes

7Seas Fishing Game recently released their new set of fish and this set is composed of various Goldfishes. I’m not much of a fish collector but I do like catching something new from time to time so this new set is a very welcome addition. The goldfishes are really cute so I’m sure many girly, girly avatars will fall inlove with them, LOL!

SuperUltraRare Gold Fish

The set includes three common goldfishes, two uncommon goldfishes, three rare goldfishes and one superultrarare goldfish. You’ll notice that there’s no ultrarare goldfish. Why? I don’t know but I guess they ran out of ideas for an ultrarare one. LOL! Anyway, the ones they released are already very good so I’m sure no one will complain about not having an ultrarare one in the set.

Delphinus, Hedonism and Nippon

Today, since I wasn’t doing anything important, I decided to check out three 7Seas Fishing Areas namely Delphinus Isle, Hedonism and Feudal Nippon. Why? I don’t know, it was a good idea at that time I guess. Ha ha ha!

Fishing at Delphinus Isle

I started with Delphinus Isle because it was the first link that greeted me when I logged in. They’re having this contest where the prize is not determined by the board but instead the it’s catchable. What is it? It’s a PrimOptic Gift Certificate. Skinny was very lucky to catch one of them. I stayed for a few minutes hoping to catch one too but I had to return to my home to fix something.

Second Life Bots or simply SLBots

Bots in Second Life are third party programs used to access the server to perform and automate various tasks like camping, group joining, greeting and even copying/cloning. They are based on LibSecondLife’s code, which is Open Source, and are very lightweight since they’re text only. Unlike, those bots found in mmorpgs and other online games, bots in Second Life are allowed by Linden Labs.

Bots have many useful uses but they also have some not so good use like copying other people’s objects and textures. In this post I will list all the Second Life Bots that I know and provide a little info about them.

JB’s Super Mall

An avatar named John Trihey sent me a message about his new mall called JB’s Super Mall which is located at the Hodu region in Second Life. If I remember it correctly, he sent me a message about a camping location before. Anyway, today I went to his mall to check it out.

The mall isn’t that very big. In fact, it is only 1 level and consists of shop spaces. Below are some data which I have gathered about the mall:

Second Life and Game! Magazine

Last month I was contacted by Ms. Diane Reyes of Game! Magazine but prior to that I was asked by Ms. Eva Gubat, Editorial Manager of Game! Magazine, by e-mail if I would like to be a member of their writing pool. I said to myself, if they think my writing is good enough for their magazine then why not so I told her yes.

As I’ve said, Ms. Diane, who is an Editorial Assistant, contacted me and asked if I’m willing to take on a writing assignment and guess what, the topic was Second Life. I accepted the assignment and she gave me a week to write the story. It was my first time writing for a nationally syndicated magazine and it’s scaring the crap out of me.

A few days later, I finished the story and you won’t believe how many times I read it just to make sure it’s okay. I also revised it a few times before submitting it to Ms. Diane. You know, a few tweaks here and there. The story will be on the December – January Issue of Game! Magazine. (Read More)
